The Awards are presented at an honorary reception at the North Rhine-Westphalian state capital of Düsseldorf. In 2004 the prizes were presented by the Minister of Sciene and Research, Mrs. Hannelore Kraft, and in 2005 by the Minister of Innovation, Science, Research and Technology, Prof. Dr. Andreas Pinkwart.

 

We have had repeated inquiries by prize winners and the press concerning the choice of the application year in the prize name. We have chosen to change the naming scheme this year, such that the prize is named after the year of the announcement and the honorary reception. So that is why there is no prize in the year 2006.
